Community Organizer: Progressive Voters Network
Reply to: see belowDate: 2007-04-24, 3:59PM EDTThe Progressive Voter Network is hiring community organizers to build progressive infrastructure for issue and electoral campaigns. Organizers will recruit, train, and work with volunteers on the local level for real progressive change in DC. Right now we are engaged in a campaign to address global warming and energy independence. This will culminate in an innovative get-out-the-vote campaign in the ’08 Presidential election. We are hiring organizers in Philadelphia to launch and run the campaign in Congressional districts 3, 4, and 14, build a sustainable network of trained volunteers, and lay the foundation for a successful ’08 election in Pennsylvania.
QUALIFICATIONS include a desire to change politics as usual in DC, willingness to work hard, and experience with working with volunteers. Campaign experience not necessary, but helpful.
SALARY: Starts at $24,000/year; increases with relevant experience
